It will? Is it only the top bolt that is holding the caliper onto the 'frame' behind the brake discs?

Yes, remove top bolt, cali slides freely on bottom. Txt if you need more.

Further to my update t'other day. Doing mainly motorway miles around 60MPH i managed 242 miles with around 9L left in the tank. Pretty pleased with that :-)
