Hi all, After looking deeper in to my clutch slipping problem, I found that my pedal was missing the spring, Ive now added a new spring (that was funny doing due to the tight location of the damm spring) and no more slipping from my last few road tests, so looking good. I think without the clutch pedal return spring, it wasnt fully engaging quick enough for the revs in the higher gears. Spring is cheaper than a new clutch, so worth checking yours. thumbsup happy bunny The clutch pedal return spring just brings the pedal back up that last 1/4" or so (and increases pedal effort to make the clutch "feel" a little better to your leg).

I've had two go 'bang' in 7 years. I was wearing shorts the first time and the broken spring cut my leg open. (Ok.....scratched it badly!). Its very disconcerting when it lets go. You think your engines blown up. But then you realise you're in a reliable Turbo and not a fragile SC.

I had two go in my time. The first one I almost soiled myself but the second time I knew straight away what it was. Never replaced either of them.
