I'm gutted that I haven't seen this until now! It could have been my first foray on to track with the VX, although I'm not sure Cadwell is the ideal track for my first trackday though as its rather tight with limited run off. I may pop down at some point as it isn't too far from where I live. Hopefully see some of you guys down there.

Haha, big turn around from the start of the day at Cadwell when you didn't think it was for you. I'm going on holiday tomorrow and have been quite busy lately so will sort the vid out when I get back mid next week.

Ah cool, are you able to monitor it as you drive.....? Sounds distracting! useful though if you're fighting the clock!!!

Yes it shows you the difference between your predicted fastest lap and your current one. I only really glanced at it when coming onto straights. Very useful to analyse a specific corner.

pissed off my spare wheels aren't going to be arriving tuesday, so i'm going to have to do the trackday on bridgestone road tyres. Or just get slicks fitted and drive to cadwell on them lol (30mile of back road driving) bugger.

Not a problem. I've 3 different sets of tyres on 3 different sets of wheels. I'll scrub these R1R's in over the weekend and then make the (inevitably wrong) call on Tuesday night as to which to go with. If nothing else, at least I'll have finally got around to getting them fitted.

You lot are seriously brave, checking the weather forecast this early.

P.S. Paul, we're staying up there on the Tuesday night now, by the look of it.

I stayed at the Beaumont inearly April as well - tbh it's ok, breakfast was good, it's close to the track and fuel and if you can sleep in a travelodge then this is acceptable. Also the staff were very friendly and it has a bar!!!
