Hi All, have searched and com eup blank so am asking. I have got an issue with the front indicator bulb not working on the near side and when i turn the indicator on left the other two flash really quickly. I have changed the bulb but the new one did the same and on close inspection the bulb wasn't blown in the first place! I have checked the connections as best i can and they seem fine. any suggestions please? cheers J

The other bulbs flashing faster is what happens when the bulb is blown, so you know it's blown - it's a legal requirement. As you've checked the bulb I would think here is no voltage to that bulb so the the flasher unit thinks the bulb has blown. You need to check to see if there is voltage at the bulb and check the earth for it also, make your self a test lamp as I doubt you have a multi-meter. I'd check the earth connection first as strange things happen with poor earth connections. I don't know where the earth are but there are wiring diagrams in the TIS, too small to read well on my laptop though.

As above. The bulb will have 2 wires to it. Use a multimeter or test light and connect it to the live wire and to a good earth. if it lights or reads 12v then thats fine. With the earth, multimeters best, test the continuity between that wire and a good earth. That should point you the right way

For me that happened when the connector was not in deep enough (needed just 1 extra mm) All lights worked, but not the indicator. Funny cars

mine developed this fault on the OSR light whilst out on the highland hoon. Then driving back from scotland today decided to dimly light itself and the fog light, so I think they have a common earth fault.

mine is the rear drivers side cluster. I think it would be easier to remove the entire cluster and check terminal crimps.
