Well after seeing the bhp thread I thought it would only be fair to get some data stats which are wayyyyy more improtant than rr numbers lol

I will start with the old beast - soon to be def bettered by a few vx's on here if not done already (Darcini should be in at least the same ball park (diff gearing to my old M32) Zacs with def be quicker as will Nevs etc - well if you dont mind abusing them

Never tried, never will, not even vaguely interested in what my car would do on the "strip". Even more pointless than RR numbers in my opinion and best left to the Performance Vauxhall Show or whatever other chavfest it is that lives at Santa Pod. So there. :P

Now now Matt :D we know the best bit about the vx is the handling ;) there is always the performance box for some stats - the drag strip does not always suit some tyres (I had a better launch on the road tyres over R888's)

Not sure why I put 0-110 in the title lol

I felt the need to start the thread after the BHP one :P, I have never really cared about the figures (especially bhp) but it is a benchmark for me ref upgrades and helps to ease the pain of the money spent getting there

@Duncan: These are real good figures! thumbsup The only one that's comparable to my performance box figures was: 62-100mph in third gear: 3,5s 100-200km/h (62-124mph) my best was: 8,08s

I noticed :);) I have always treated bhp figures with a large pinch of salt, more worried about fueling, power delivery (which after going out in Mr Simbas new whine box (that does not really whine lol) have to say the linear power delivery would be very nice on track - still not as good as a turbo though :D

Duncan, seeing as how my car has your old engine in it technically I would be waving your willy. Which I am not prepared to do. Ever.

Mine is too fast, too powerful and too torquey for me - remind me why I'm after a remap?

Haven't 'figured' anything since my R1 Fisher Fury which had a DigiDash that recorded stuff like acceleration times.

One that was quite interesting was 0-60 in 5.9 seconds.

Not that special you might think, except that the 0mph start point was at the petrol pump at the Shell petrol station on the uphill section of Bluebell Hill near Maidstone. Anyone that knows it will know that it's at 70ish degrees to the dual carriageway. Don't know exactly when I hit 60 as I only noticed the datalogger flashing just up the road but I suspect it was before I got to the end of the short sliplane. Can't imagine that many 0-60 tests starting on a fuel-stained forecourt :)

Oh, and I had paid for the petrol in case you were wondering...

That would probably be faster then using the throttle thumbsup
But have to admin it's a calculated speed, as the speed limiter has been taken off, and rpm goes to 7k.
I think real world is probably 155 ish.
