OK, spent 20 minutes upside-down in the rain with my head stuck in the drivers footwell.
How the hell does the throttle pedal plug come out?
Its a sort of sliding cam lock. See the red (maroon on mine) part on one end? You need to pull that out. It comes out a fair way. ONce thats out its still pretty firmly wedged on but a bit of pulling and wiggling (fnarr) and you should manage to pull it off.

As you look at it, you will see the red/maroon ribbed tab on the underside of the plug. This has to be pulled straight DOWN, away from the plug. Get your thumb-nail under the tap and wiggle it a bit.... a gap will appear giving you something to get hold of. Pull it smoothly downward and the plug will automatically come away from the pedal box. You will see that the red tab is the bottom of a locking mechanism which, when you reverse the process, pulls the plug into place as you slide the red bit back up. Apologies if this description sounds a bit pedantic, but I struggled to do the job myself from the descriptions in earlier threads until the penny dropped. Once you've done it, you'll see how quick and easy it is!

Sounds perfectly simple... Will save that in the memory bank... should it be needed.
