looking through some old c n cc mags(nov2002), there is some vx sprint set up info if anyone is interested toe settings front .20 toe in rear .20 toe in weight distribution-as long as this makes sense to you :blink: front 39% 149kgs 185kgs 273kgs 242kgs 61% total 849kgs (has got a rollcage, 7x16 front and 8x17 rear) also the inlet manifold looks like an aluminium 'box' of some sort and has modded injection and cams for approx 170bhp) and here are sport 135 s2 ellie's for comparison front 38% 141kgs 151kgs 237kgs 229kgs 62% total 758kgs can anyone work out where the vx's extra weight is from this? :huh: cheers sorry to bore ya d

Well they are corner weights, so the VX is quite a bit heavier on the driver's side front corner. Is that where the ABS stuff sits? And the airbag... Elise is much more even side to side. Back passenger side much heavier on VX (and more uneven) - is that a heavier gearbox? Paul

Steel subframe for the engine accounts for some extra weight as does the engine itself (heavier than the K series) transmission is probably more substantial too, would definately account for the positive gearchange as opposed to the rather weedy Elise shift All IMO of course Jamie

add this: the 2 bodyshells are almost twice as thick on the VX... :o
