looking through some old c n cc mags(nov2002), there is some vx sprint set up info if anyone is interested
toe settings front .20 toe in rear .20 toe in
weight distribution-as long as this makes sense to you
front
39%
149kgs 185kgs
273kgs 242kgs
61%
total 849kgs (has got a rollcage, 7x16 front and 8x17 rear)
also the inlet manifold looks like an aluminium 'box' of some sort and has modded injection and cams for approx 170bhp)
and here are sport 135 s2 ellie's for comparison
front
38%
141kgs 151kgs
237kgs 229kgs
62%
total 758kgs
can anyone work out where the vx's extra weight is from this?
cheers
sorry to bore ya

Well they are corner weights, so the VX is quite a bit heavier on the driver's side front corner. Is that where the ABS stuff sits? And the airbag...
Elise is much more even side to side. Back passenger side much heavier on VX (and more uneven) - is that a heavier gearbox?

Steel subframe for the engine accounts for some extra weight as does the engine itself (heavier than the K series) transmission is probably more substantial too, would definately account for the positive gearchange as opposed to the rather weedy Elise shift
All IMO of course
