Just wondering really whether any companies have produced clear vents on the engine cover so that the engine is more visible (a la Ferrari 360)?
Don't think I've seen any for the Elise...

Not quite in the same league as the Ferrari, is it?the question is, is is the ecotec pretty enough to look at?
To help it a bit, I took the labels off the head and polished the cover. I understand the logic to the colour-coded yellow service access points, but they do look a bit naff through the vents. IMO the water and oil filler caps need to be replaced by something a liitle more discreet before one can think about displaying the engine.
Clear plastic would probably be more of a heat-trap and difficult to keep clean, could be more trouble than it's worth.

We're working on replacement engine caps for oil etc and even a metal expansion tank. Also better grills for better heat disipation (like of Jag R cars).

Thorney.
Have you got any progress on the caps and expansion tank yet.
I am in need of getting hold of these quickly as I will be fitting up all the silicone hoses that have been made in the near future.
I have a new polished head ready to go on but need to get rid of that horrible plastic tank badly!
Can you let me know when you expect them?
cheers Chris.

Stu is getting me the donor parts this week, I'll get them to Levern so we should have an idea next week. Get the hoses done (take piccies) then we can sort out the rest.....
