The vx220 rollbar cover is more edged then the elise one, so if you look closely, they do not line up 100%.
Still watertight though, but for the more estetic hardtop shopper; they tend to shop untill they found a vx220 one.
Keep in mind that a tubby hardtop is padded, and an NA is not.
If your car never had a hardtop, you may also need to change the brackets in your rollbar cover, to be hardtop aware.
Softtops are 100% identical though.

ive done a bit of research and it looks like the exige roof fits on the elise and elise roof fits on the 220 so i should be ok!
i'll have to drive there and give it a trial fit just to make sure i think.

Off course it wil fit; see post #2. And also see there the misallignment on the sides, as the VX top is more angular there.
(Btw, that GT3 had all Lotus bodywork fitted onto his VX chassis. Which is a lotus chassis with a different rear subframe...)
