So, I've only had one quote so far - £275 but thought that's a bit steep. Conversely, I don't want to get a dirt cheap quote only for someone to do a shoddy job. Any ideas what prices is reasonable? Any recommended companies within a 1hr drive of Nottingham? Cheers for all suggestions!

£200 is the max you should pay. That's what my spray guy charged and he's the best but also most expensive sprayer I know.

I paid £130 to get my "Jonnyboy hardtop" filled, flatted and sprayed. The colour match is fantastic! I got it done at facelifts in Burton (near Derby)

Is your hardtop colour matched to a silver VX Turbo's body or is it the standard factory shade of silver? I have a mint OEM lined silver one that I would pay to swap with you if it is. The bit of extra money would effectively make your respray cheaper and would be cheaper for me than getting mine painted. I have only acquired one quote but that was for £300 which I was not prepared to pay. thumbsdown

No harm in asking and I agree that you made the right choice keeping an OEM one. I'd say 100 quid is about right for painting a hardtop.

Mine's standard silver (matches the windscreen surround) - is that the same as what you already have?
Cheers!

Need to get mine sprayed too (have one of the jonhboy specials)...but i'll probably wait until sept/oct now...I did ask a few folk on here and around £150 (give or take a little) seemed reasonable...

£130-150 is reasonable if it's going through the books properly.
