As I recently bought my vx I have done afew HPI checks recently. First one came back saying 245 per year and the second one about 2 weeks later saying 260...

Did the checks span the budget?
pre 2001 is whatever the old 'high' rate is

I got my new tax disc today, and can confirm it has gone up (since the Budget) to £260 for a year, or £143 for 6 months.

What are things coming too in this country when the road tax now costs more than the insurance......Ripp off or what....
fcuk you are doing well if you can get insurance for less than a years tax.

....Cheapest quote so far is £200, but Im sure I can get it lower than that.... Fully comp..3000m....£500 excess....50 years clean driving with no accidents...Ex BSM instructor....etc
So what I pay on the tax, I save on the insurance..... Not that bad I suppose....

Im at the age now that I can burn the tarmac up...lol....

My annual insurance premium is less than £245 so it certainly less than £260.
