Just a reminder/heads up on this company if your after insurance for the VX. Tel: 0844 892 1966 Had my renewal through today and was gobsmacked how low it was (£452.74) for a 2000 NA, 7500mile limit, Great Yarmouth postcode (NR31) Im 27, with 5 years NCB. All mods declared, inc Stage 1 Cams, ITG induction, Piper exhaust etc. Spoke to Richard and asked to renew but wanted to tag on European cover (30 days free) and a trackday in Germany (5 days included free) Took up the breakdown cover (EU and UK, £57) and Richard managed to get the renewal down to £415!!! Just a recommendation for this company, the people seem friendly and the pricing is super cheap, with good benifits included. Certainly worth a call

5 days track cover is the winner for me, declaring all the mods to be covered is the down side.... :( Im 23 with 4 years NCB, bet they quote me like 1.5k lol....

Try them. They insure you against the cars power output, so I get the feeling you can declare all the aesthetics you liked and it wouldnt make any difference to your quote.

Admittedly 270bhp might sting a little when you try to insure that, but who knows, worth a go.

I have always found them very helpful and most importantly competitive on price.

I think its 25+ , but they have recently agreed to get much younger drivers covered with the underwriter, but that was on Lotus. Trying to setup an owners club scheme, but nothing official until okay'd with WillT and John Priestman at CCI.

They wouldn't quote me as I wasn't 25+ . Did they not say anything to you about age?

I got a 10% discount or something for being a VX forum member.

Ended up going through CCI, great deals compared to most companies. Only Henderson and Taylor came close for me (also worth a look) Pretty sure I've been given a discount for being a member of this forum as I need to provide proof. Asked about mods and was told that what I wanted wouldn't take it into the next 'bracket' so would stay the same price. Only a small increase exhaust etc. but nice to know. Taz
