What colour is your car? Sometimes too glossy can look a bit OTT unless they are on smaller spoke wheels. I just think the N/A wheels are too 'wide' to be gloss. Looks too shiny and makes the tyres look bad.

Is "brake dust" an official colour? Mine are gloss verging on satin and furry.

Mine are very "flocked", about 5 minutes after washing them they (and most of the rear of the car) have a liberal coating of 1144 dust, was toying with compensating for the regular flocking with anthracite (semi gloss) on my N/A wheels to make it less noticeable.

I'd go with black to keep things consistent, but personally, I'd go with satin (as per my wheels). Brake dust is a real PITA and satin hides it better than gloss. However, if you're going with gloss black on your other parts, then go with gloss on your wheels too thumbsup

Black wheels on a yellow VX. Anthracite looks a bit wishy washy against the bright colour. IMO. Another vote for satin. When I refurb mine they will be de-glossed. Plus the stupid gloss lacquer is peeling itself everytime I get new tyres

My wheels were powder coated graphite by a previous owner, they look good in the sun but not sure how they would look on a yellow car :-

When I bought my liz I specifically told the dealer "make the wheels black, and we have a deal"

Posted Image

It didn't take me too long to think the not so shiny black looked cheap and kinda plastic.
Then I kept seeing other silver cars with satin black wheels. A Scooby ok. 911 still handling that, followed by boy racer spec corsa, focus, any car that had lost it's wheel trims... Actually, the best one was a Proton Compact (Satria?) Gti with a silver, black wheels and a HUGE "HANDLING BY LOTUS sticker across the bottom of the door - I should have got one too..

Anyway, long story short, when I changed to a not yellow but still a brighter colour, I decided to be more subtle with the wheels ;)
So, dark grey all the way :)

Posted Image

VX wise, what about dark grey on the V etc as well...

If i'm completely honest, I've seen a standard yellow one just like yours around Dundee recently and it looks very B) with silver bits!
