Is "brake dust" an official colour?
Mine are gloss verging on satin and furry.

What colour is your car? Sometimes too glossy can look a bit OTT unless they are on smaller spoke wheels.
I just think the N/A wheels are too 'wide' to be gloss. Looks too shiny and makes the tyres look bad.

Mine are very "flocked", about 5 minutes after washing them they (and most of the rear of the car) have a liberal coating of 1144 dust, was toying with compensating for the regular flocking with anthracite (semi gloss) on my N/A wheels to make it less noticeable.

Black wheels on a yellow VX. Anthracite looks a bit wishy washy against the bright colour. IMO.
Another vote for satin. When I refurb mine they will be de-glossed. Plus the stupid gloss lacquer is peeling itself everytime I get new tyres

Meh. Mine are satin 99% of the time anyway.

My wheels were powder coated graphite by a previous owner, they look good in the sun but not sure how they would look on a yellow car :-

But is best hidden behind a car with a bit of colour in it!
