My current one is being a real b1tch trying to get it off (only to put the carbon surround on) Anyone have a brand new OEM Silver knob for sale at a sensible price?

Pickles was on with loads of threadlock (and I mean loads). We had to get some serious waterpump pliers on it to fetch it off. It left marks round the knurled bit so I turned it down a touch for him. Now its all smooth. I have a second hand gear knob.

Mine's covered in what looks like mole-grip marks. You reckon they can be lathed out?

Yeah of course but bear in mind that it will take it down the the level of he bottom of the marks. If you weren't so far away I'd suggest bringing it round.

I that is aimed at me, I can assure you mine is definitely thick and kobbly, but thankfully there is no writing on it!

Nah, I believe it was on the options list, Silver with two black rings around it and a set of Allen key bolt heads sunk into the top of it. Then there is a pseudo metal h-gate on the transmission tunnel with gear positions on it.
