I've got three knobs.
1) An original,
2) The optional one with the two black rubber rings round it and allen keys bolts in the top,
3) A black one (VXR / LY?) (currently fitted).

Well there you go lol
I've now got a leather knob with a Lotus emblem on top of it. It's quite a bit smaller than the Vx knob but it's much warmer to the touch on the mornings

Mine's covered in what looks like mole-grip marks.
You reckon they can be lathed out?
Yeah of course but bear in mind that it will take it down the the level of he bottom of the marks. If you weren't so far away I'd suggest bringing it round.
