My Speedster is (still) in the bodyshop all prepped up ready for a paint. The sprayer has taken so long thats its given me time to think about having it done in a colour other than white which I was planning originally. I dont want a colour thats going to affect resale too badly (although colours like renault liquid gold seem to help resale!) I was thinking Lotus Chrome Orange but I'm open to suggestions!

Posted Image I gotta say when i get my car re-sprayed / de-bubbled then this is a colour I'd strongly consider, looks AWESOME on a hot sunny day. I just couldn't cope with the attention I'd get with a silver vx

I guess it depends what you want the car to be. Sports car - chrome orange is a winner, although I like the lotus lime green. When / If I get my car repainted I'll be looking at a dark metallic grey with hard top and plush (for a vx) interior to give a gt cruiser feel.

I've always liked either the really crazy special colours that you rarely see - like WillT's blue for instance. Or really dark colours suit a VX well.

He already has it in silver, but he's wanting to apply a top-coat colour now!

edit: Go for something like dark grey.

Photo of mine half way through the wrap in white. I quite liked it, I thought "should I stop with this"? Some would say I should have!

Don't do it Johnnyboy (in lotus orange) as you will make me cry as that is exactly the colour I want to do mine in when I get round to having some spare money to do it... Which at this rate could well be never! I know where you live and couldn't be held responsible for my actions!

Interested to know what a full respray might cost, for those who have enquired or had it done before.. I enquired about getting the flaws on my car touched up, which the painter recommended a full respray and quoted quite a figure to do so.. Do people think us VX'ers are just made of money!? lol I'd also +1 the Lambo SV orange, looks amazing... arancio atlas is the official colour name, right?

The link I posted is apparently cadburys purple. I think it'd suit the VX really well.
