Engine cover from an Astra in good condition. (Was going to fit pre-ITB to help protect against water ingress).

Will post pics tonight.
There's a few marks on the silver part which I don't recall being there before which I guess have come about from being in my shed for the last year.

Hi mate
I know people fit something like this to stop water getting through the grill in to the spark plugs. HOw do people usually mount it? I presume I'd also need to modify it to fit around the SC.

Hark... I really don't think it would be wise to use is on an SC car... I could be wrong, but I would image the heat generated by the air compression would produce a massive amount of heat and placing a lump of plastic could be a recipe for disaster.

Yep, agree with Mangham - don't think this is a good plan with an SC installed.

There is no real reason for the 2.2 engine to suffer from water ingress. The turbo has the issue.Hi mate

You can add a little sealant around the coilpack to stop water getting in if you have to.
*I know, I have a cover that I use in winter for no reason other than peace of mind. It's not like I live in Scotland.

I think your possibly right about the heat, it kicks out some serious heat after a run.
