While borrowing some thing from work, loaded into my car, I had to brake and the thing hit the silver dash strip that runs across the dash.... large scratch into the plastic silver paint finish.... I have to return the car in 8 weeks.... how can I repair.. Thinking of 'no smoking' sticker right across the scratch, may work....

:beat: couldnt you try just touching it up first - might look like a dirty mark then? If not i think i'd try and spray it

Before you start trying to fix it do you know if they are going to charge you for it? Would interior marks not come under general wear and tear? Sticker looks to be the easiest and cheapest option, doesn't look to be particularly damaged.

I can send it back, and I will not get charged, just may reduce my good will with the company I leave on Thursday after 24 years working there, I will still be working with them in another capacity.... Ebay ones are an easy solution.....

I'd scratch the other side; see if I could make it look like it was part of the design.

I'd say there would be less evaporation of good will by talking to them about it, than when they rip the No Smoking sticker off and find a big scratch. My vote is on replacing the part/doing an elegant repair/coming clean thumbsup
