Book figures for an NA are 26/27.5. But you'd be best to go with what others actually seem to prefer. Mine's a Turbo but there's no separate owners manual for the Turbo. That said, my manual has a manuscript entry by Vauxhall that has Turbo pressures as 26/30.

I think you should try lower pressures, if only to prove to yourselves that higher pressures are better. You might even find lower pressures are better... Best regards, Paul

I've been running 26/28, seems to be working well. Feels better than when I was running 24/26. But then again I have had new tyres all round, so that could be the reason :D

Are these settings mentioned for oe size tyres or 16/17 wheel size tyres? Does anybody know if the vxr's came with a recommended pressure for the Yoko A048's? Oh and are you guys using 24f/26r for both road & track? chinky chinky

Tyre pressure should depend on the road surface and speeds you are driving at really.

I have R888 tyres and :

1) For low speed (ie under about 100 leptons) and B-road bashing I run around 22 PSI on the front and 23 PSI on the rears. This gives more grip, allows the tyres to soak up poor road conidtions better IMO.

2) For higher speeds and A-road I prefer 24 PSI on front and 26 on rear, this makes the car bounce more, but ensures the tyres dont deform due to the centrifugal forces.
