Hi Everyone,
Well I have had my VX for nearly seven years now with only minor problems that I have been able to rectify with the help of this forum but this one has got me beat.
I unfortunately allowed my battery to run flat. After a recharge the car refused to start. After checking out previous posts on here my hunch was that it was to do with the ecu/immobiliser. I ordered an OP-COM off eBay and in the mean time double checked the relays, fuses fuel cut off etc..
At the weekend I plugged the OP-COM in and got the following fault code:
B3061 - Wrong Transponder Key
I have tried various things:
1. I had a spare "new" key and used OP-COM to associate it with the immobiliser, it completed successfully but still got the same problem.
2. I cleared all keys and and added both my keys again, still the same.
3. I reset the immobiliser and ecu, re-programmed and added keys, still the same.
:-(
I saw that previously an owner on here had his ecu and immobiliser replaced, had new keys and that did the trick.
I googled and found a post on a vectra forum where the guy reste his ecu and immobiliser bought two new transponder chips for his keys programmed them and that did the trick.
Has anyone got any advice on how I should proceed with this, am I missing a trick with the OP-COM?
One thing I did notice is that the version of the software that came with the OP-COM is different with that on the wiki, I have tried both.
Any help appreciated.
