It's pretty darn close but they haven't rubbed yetJesus, looking at those clearances makes me
LOL
They are tempteing to buy, I might have enough spondoolios soon too... though I need to be sure that Nipper survives the dyno first and that his new clutch can cope.

I've got 888's on the front, 205/40 R17. There's no rubbing at all.
The rears are 235/40R17. They touch the black 'mud guards' edge at the top in extreme situations. That is touching, I wouldn't even call it rubbing, and only when challenging the impact capacity of the suspension.![]()
The picture below should give you an idea what space is left.(not much!)
It's taken when I had my first set of R888 and wanted to check the free space between wheel and clam. I've forced the wheel into the wheel arch by placing a 6" high piece of wood under the rear wheel before lowering the car with the jack.
Since these rims are likely to be wider than what's currently under your car. Please check if the support clamp from the hand brake cable runs free. The one that is located on the lower wishbone. Mine touched the balancing weights the tire company put on the inner edge of the rim. This was very easy solved by bending the clamp to raise the location of the cable locally.
