Sadly, it is time to part after 1 year of excellent ownership. Need to buy a new family car :angry2: and put some cash aside for a different type of vx thumbsup

This is NOT a cat C/D car and has a full service history and is fully ready for the summer.

Sitting on a brand new pair of Nitrons, I can not stress enough how perfect the car is for fast road use, and how well it is maintained and looked after.

The car was purchased from a previous member on VX220.org.uk who purchased it from a previous member so it is a cherished, enthusiast owned vehicle with no expense spared.

Car is near Newcastle - will pick up any prospective buyer.

Car basics:-

2003 VX220 Turbo
Moonland with red leather interior
Includes touring pack, passenger footrest, VX220 mats, turbo door sills, remote central locking.
Black soft top
55,500 miles
MOT until March 2012
Taxed until December 2011
Full service history, with the last service in March 2011 and tons of receipts
Last service was the big one at 53,345 miles- cambelt, water pump, brake fluid
Bridgestone tyres have plenty of tread 5-6mm
Not CAT C/D and with full service history and no paint bubbling

Engine Performance Modifications-:

Courtenay Sport Stage 4 engine upgrade giving power of 293 bhp and torque of 310 lb/ft including the usual modifications such as:-
Alloy radiator
Uprated Helix clutch
Lightened billet flywheel
Uprated actuator
VXR Injectors
Re-Mapping
Charge cooler
Uprated front & rear
polyurethane engine mounts etc

VX Performance Exhaust (from VX-performance.de)

Handling Modifications:-

(New) Nitron Street Series Suspension set up for fast road use with 20 clicks from hard on the fronts, 18 clicks from hard on the rears.
Lowered 125mm back 115mm front
Car set-up/camber etc by Dan Jude of SPS performance (Lotus specialist)
Mintex 1144 brake pads all round

Other Notes:-

New alternator
New thin vacuum pipe replaced
New boost control solenoid
New Stebel air horn (and relay) fitted
New ABC rated extinguisher
Ran on Fuchs/Silkolene 5W/40 Fully synthetic oil
Expansion tank cover
Multivex wing mirrors (from Eliseparts.com) - both driver & passenger sides
Windscreen wiper spraybar
Venair heating kit

Sad to see a local owner selling up! It did look good when I saw it at Boldon a few weeks back and I went out for a pax ride when it was owned by bob the blob - it is a very fast car in excellent condition. Good luck with the sale thumbsup

Thanks m8. Some owners like to take them off to make them stealthy - my choice just to have a turbo badge.

Price is £13,750

I'm almost tempted to buy it back after a year without a VX. Good luck with the sale. It's been well looked after over the years so I'm sure it will find a good home.

Thanks 'Bob the Blob' (Jim) - I'll answer a question that has been asked about the history of the tuning to this car.

I beleive that all 'tuning' has been carried out by Courtenay.

10/10/07 - Stage 2 map from Courtenay applied dynoing at 244bhp and 274lb/ft torque - previous owner to Bob the Blob

18/01/08 - Stage 4 conversion from Courtenay dynoing at 292.5bhp @ 5,727 and 309.6lb/ft - by Bob the Blob

Stage 4 is very reliable on this machine.
