Does anyone have the CAD templates for Armourfend on the VX? If i can get them i can cut them from the roll on my plotter, i have the VX on my database but only the front view, side view but i would have to draw the cut lines in manually.

You can see the shapes by running a search for the VX here. A word of warning though, the actual Ventureshield as it's cut is at least 10% smaller than it is when fitted to the car, as the fitters need to use a fair amount of heat to stretch in 2 dimensions to properly fit.

i would of imagined its slightly larger then trimmed like when applying vinyl, i may cut a paper template of the front section then scan and cut it and trial fit.
i notice the bonnet is in 4 parts on the design i have, only the front lower section on each side is in one part and requires fitting around the side too.

Not sure what that kit is but the Ventureshield fitted to my car was one piece on the upper bonnet and two piece on the lower clam as follows:-

Definitely no trimming or knifes anywhere near the car but lots of soapy water, steam gun and heat gun to stretch it to fit properly.

Its the mk2 Armourfend kit thumbsup

They made the bonnet in a multi piece fitment due to some of their fitters not being able to fit the original one piece bonnet properly.

I have a template for the bit in front of the rear wheel. Its a paper template (well the backing off one I stuck on) so not in CAD but I'm happy for it to be scanned / used or whatever is required.

I have a paper copy of the complete car but no way of getting it scanned to use on my cutter as most bits are too big to scan, happy to cut them by hand though.

A lotus paint finisher is my next door neighbour and he said he would fit the kit for me as long as I could obtain it. He said the kit trade costs £70 and the best price fitted I could get was £500 with an armourfend dealer, so quite a saving. I tried everywhere to get a kit and you can guess what the answer was!! Probably going to sound stupid here but can you not scan it in multiple parts and put them together in a program such as PS? I did that for an A1 size image using just an A4 scanner. Not sure how the cutter takes the image - CAD drawing only? or can it use an image file?

since techie has a pdf file of the template shape , I'm pretty sure with some tarting about you can import that into most cad packages. or at least convert to a DWG file and then use that???

My Armourfend has three pieces only, two under the V to 10mm shy of wing edge, and up to the mould line half way up h/lamps, Third piece above the V reaches as far as the bonnet and only to the edges of the h/lamps, not round and down to meet the other pieces. Above for what its worth, and think cost was around £400. However, one of the best things I have ever had fitted to the car. No stone chips in nearly three years. Mind, can't say it was any defence against scaffold poles strewn across the A3 near Horndean.
