Right, here it is... The last thing I ever thought I would post, but so be it, but due to some changes in circumstances I have to very reluctantly put my car up for sale.

Firstly some details, then some pictures afterwards:

Vauxhall VX220 Convertible 2.2 (2198CC)
Europa Blue NA, Biscuit Leather Seats and Shoulder Bolsters.

Date of First Registration: 21/06/2002

Registration: VX02BUN
Model Number 4094
Engine Number: 11072670
Current Mileage: 71,000 (but this is ever increasing at the moment and correct at the time of posting, with the car being used daily)
MOT Due: 31/07/2011 (but will service and MOT the car ready for sale) so will be MOT'd until July 2012
Tax Due: 30/11/2011

Price: £8000 ono (+/- negotiable items)

The car is located in Wakefield, West Yorkshire (WF4).

I have owned the car since 07/03/2009 and the former owner was also a forum member on here. When I bought the car I had a HPI Check done on the car and it came back clear, similarly the previous owner had done the same (which I still have a copy of) on 22/03/2006

In the time I have owned the car I have used the car regularly and have spent plenty of money on the car to keep it in good condition, a list of all thinsg dones is below:

Rear Brake Caliper Service Kits (Jun 2010)
New McGuard Locking Wheel Nuts (Aug 2010)
Passenger Side Engine Mount (April 2010) - Spare in shed for Drivers side
Lotus Exige Bilstein Set (A122D0008/6H & A122C0007H/8H) (Nov 2010) , I still have the original dampers -will discuss options for these.
4200K HID Kit - can be removed and Philips Nightbreakers fitted instead. (Sep 2010)

The car will be given with a spare front Bridgestone - as a puncture backup (due to flaky availability)
Several oil cooler adaptor gaskets, for as/when the oil filter gets replaced (as a backup against Vauxhall not wanting to supply them again).

ADDITIONAL NEGOTIABLE ITEMS:
Full set of wheels and tyres (either Silver or Anthracite Tubby wheels) that are negotiable with sale (i.e. owner can choose either anthracite or silver Tubby wheels at point of sale)
Un-modded airbox
Alternator that is ready for a refurb
Several sets of Mintex 1144 part worn pads for front and rear
Part worn OEM/Mintex front and rear discs

In total, including the servicing and MOTs I have records for having spent £3,086.98 on the car and I know there are other receipts kicking about somewhere. I have done all this to keep the car in good condition. Bear in mind, only the Alternator, Passenger Engine Mount and Handbrake Cable ever were actually required, the rest was done as I thought it best to do it due to age.

I have taken some pre-wash photo's of the car as it stood last night (NB. Silver front / Anthracite rears fitted to help buyer choose), but they are taking an age to upload onto Photobucket, so will add them in the morning.

Also a note to say that the item will be listed elsewhere.... Please please please, if you are not serious about buying the car then don't waste my time. I have a good level of patience, but do not want to be dicked about. Plus I am not willing to accept cheeky '£5500 for a quick sale?' offers, so please don't waste your time or mine.

Update: car has just had another MOT and service... Passed with flying colours (no advisories) So next MOT is due August 2nd 2012.

Is this still for sale? Currently doing some insurance quotes and its looking favourable (is that even a word?) Im not a million miles away either, so if its ok could I pop up at some point to see the car? Still for sale. Drop me a PM and we can have a natter. I am probably going to be away in the Toon tomorrow, but could happily arrange some viewings (as the interest seems to have rallied today) and at the very least you can get an idea of what a VX is like, what the ownership prospect is actually like and go from there. I'll even thrown in a cuppa for whilst we have a natter.

Update: I have been contacted about the car and have negotiated a sale with someone on here. I have accepted a deposit for the vehicle, with the new owner to inspect and collect when he can get to me. So unless the final deal doesn't go through... The car has now been sold. Feeling somewhat sad, but having spoken at length with the prospective owner I am sure that it is going to really good guy, so that really helps. I am sure he will be along soon to properly introduce himself.

I won't be... Besides you have a VX so you will have to save me a seat for the next time you head up to the Loti meet, or Cars in The Park. As I have to get to one of them at some point, with or without a VX.
