Two of us, rear clam off in 13 minutes from scratch, is that a .org record? BTW, that included having to remove the hardtop.

I'm sure many many people have done it faster. - Only possibly less reversibly.

My thoughts were: a) to avoid removing the seats / parcel shelf cut off the bar piece and leave it bolted to the car. I'd make a lip that locates the break line of the clam. Reverse the bolts in the sides. The captive nut is in a box section. Could we cut a hole in the box, remove the nut, put a fitting in the sill part of the car and reverse the bolt direction? This would make the bolt accessable from the arch. B) Wiring Move relays to the bulkhead (not sure about this with damp etc) Use a multiplug for the remaining lighting loom. c) boot release Solenoid type or lock type (c'mon Vocky post some pics :poke: ) d) arch liners Dzus fasteners / velcro?? e) Under trays Dzus fasteners? f)boot floor bolts Dzus fasteners?

Ok, I'll get some photo's of the mods and process the next time I take the Clam off :),

The mods I have done thou are; (unless any clever person can think of another way of doing it :gayfight: )

A non hinged (quick release) boot so no need to unbolt from hinge.

I have no plastic shelf in the back of the passenger compartment (Easy Access to the 4 fixings in there thou you may be able to mod to leave it in and access them?).

I have a lowered rear Diffuser (this makes the lower part of the clam quick to release, loosen the 5 10mm nuts to drop it 1cm).

2 Small flaps (Pnar) in the rear arch liners to access the 4 bolts (Rear arch liners also fixed to the chassis not clam).

Boot relays moved to at least roll bar support (since moved into cabin in mine) so no longer in the boot.

Move Drivers side seatbelt sensor wire to roll bar from roll bar cover & no Arial (I Have no radio :)) so all you have to disconnect is the brake light. Also my Roll bar cover is permanently bolted to the clam as you can take the roll bar cover and clam off in one piece ;). Use 2/4 wing nuts on the 4 Roll bar cover to roll bar bolts.

Change all bolts that connect Clam to the Allen Headed bolts that have the same key size as the fuel cap bolts. This means the only tools you need are 1 10mm spanner for the diffuser and 1 Allen Key for the rest of the bolts.

Simples :tumble:

you forgot to move the ecu.My rear clam fixings will be 2 or 4 bolts in the boot floor 2 dzeus fasteners on each clam side by the ears and 2 or 4 bolts through the roll bar cover. The fuel cap surround has been opened out. At present it takes me 5 seconds to get the rear clam on/off

I have done a few mods to make my life easier when removing the rear clam ... 1 - moved the boot relays to the bulkhead 2 - fitted a multiplug to the rear lights wiring loom 3 - no interior parcelshelf so good access to the two outer bolts 4 - alloy bulkhead fitted so the two M8 nuts are now easily reached in the engine bay 5 - fitted a key operated lock for the boot release to the rear clam, so boot lock doesn't need touching So it should take about 30 minutes to whip the clam off on my own :D

How about a 'how to' for 5? I'd quite like to do this.
