I want one of these as it's the most visually appealing design I have seen. However I am loath to pay the equivalent of about £82 to have one sent as it is far from my idea of good value. thumbsdown Does anyone know if this item is exclusive to Sector111 or if it or another VERY similar design is available elsewhere?

Also would anyone be interested in a group buy or at least share postage on a couple?

I'd be in for a group buy.

I currently have one of these but don't like leaving it in as it sticks out too much.

Ditch the idea of a front towing eye. I wouldn't trust using it. Go instead for a rear towing eye. chinky chinky

I purchased one of these along with a carbon mirror a few years back to take advantage of no extra postage charge. Unable to use with 'v' in place as fouls vauxhall badge.

OK, good. Probably about 8 more people needed then... :tumble:

Neither would I really, TBH it is going to be more for 'the look' and for use in case of emergencys. Allready got a rear one.

Didn't think it would be able to, thanks for confirming. Actually having said that I have de-badged mine so do you reckon it will sit between the gap now? I plan to use it with a slot in grille which I will vary with a modded V as and when the mood takes me.

You'll find these are too big to fit in the VX hole (oh err) You'll need to find someone to machine them down and cut a thread. Kieran had one of these and recently got towed and it snapped with a bit of a firm tug (oh err) from the towing car. Although you rather that than it rip out the front of your car. So for pulling onto a tow truck fine Out of a gravel pit rear two eye or strap as Wolfy said, much, much stronger

Bugger didn't plan on having to re-turn them. :angry2: Could that have been an older version as -

New double-hole post design to allow fitment on all model year Elise's.

So are both threads still wrong for the VX?

@ fiveoclock has yours been modified? Want to flog me it?! Imnotworthy

That's the way I'm going with my new grille. I have two rear tow eyes and I'll carry the front tow eye as usual + what I need to make a hole to get at the pillar if/when/should I need to. If I was tracking the car it might be different. thumbsup

Sorry I forgot I half proposed this. I have since bought one on my own which price wise I kinda regret as it was not cheap! I got shafted for £30 import duty that I had to pay DHL as well so all in well over £100, bloody ridiculous!

If you can generate the interest I would definetly reccomend you try and set up a GB. Maybe try and get Sector111 to declare them as used parts or something to avoid any fees.

Quality of item and their service though are spot on.

Might also be worth having a word with Dave (mclarensboss on here) @ Seriously Lotus. He already brings in lots of Sector111 parts to the UK.

That looks like the one that NickB777 got. The thread was way too big for the VX, so he had to get it machined down to a size to fit the tow strut.

Stop flogging us RS4 bits! :P

I vividly remember fiveoclock's one: looks great!
But for £100 ++ you can almost by an Exige/GT4 wing!!

It shouldn't cost you £100 or more though if you avoid fees and get it discounted. Personally I think about £40 would be a 'fair' price as I would imagine the actual cost to produce would be quite low and the mark up huge. That one in the ebay link definetly does not fit as I just sold one of them last week from my old car.
