Is your area that bad? Thought about moving to tripoli?
I know Bristol can be a bit dodgy but don't think it's that bad

With regard to modifications, does a remap count as chipping? The only option on most of the online sites seems to be engine chip rather than remap.

DO they offer discount for membership here?
Yes they do. They'll ask for a screen grab of your profile page.

You may be able to reduce your premium by not keeping it in a locked garage
Maybe I can leave the door open then, perhaps that'll reduce my premium!
Frankly I'd rather pay the extra than have it left outside where all the little shits can stroll on by and give it a good keying....plus it's too low to get it up on the kerb in front of the house

Interestingly, if I go through comparethemarket and add the missus to the policy Admiral comes up as £112 cheaper than going to them direct!
plus you will get a couple of Meerkats at your door

Depends on the insurer though, Admiral definitely yes but I think most are still sensible enough to realise that garage is lower riskYou may be able to reduce your premium by not keeping it in a locked garage - apparently garaging it makes it a slightly higher risk

CCI seem to be doing rather well from the over 25's ...
I think they must recognise how sensible and mature we all are!! Although I'd gladly take a higher premium if I could go back to being 25 again

CCI nearly had my business last week price and other features where all reasonable but they do not cover driving other cars so despite the included trackdays being a big bonus Sky Insurance got my renewal for the 3rd year running.
I found that out when the vx was in for repairs and I had to borrow a car. Had to fork out an extra £50 for a weeks insurance. But they where a lot cheaper than everyone for me.
