Well when I took my door cards off for alcantara treatment I figured I may as well take the handle guards off for a spray to match the dash plates. Neither side was held in place with anything (other than the plastic clip?) which was snapped off when removing.

Had a look around and found this pic

Guessing part 9 is the correct fixing? or is that for the door card (2)? I bought some interior screws from eliseparts but to fat to fit through.

No not part 9, I took mine off last weekend, all 4 of my fittings were there but not holding the handle guard on, I'll go and take a picture of them if you want? I put mine back without them, it feels secure and doesn't move just because of the clip.

Yea if you could. The interior screws I used are fractionally to big. I broke the clip bit off. Might try and make a new 'clip' to help hold it in place, along with the door card I imagine it wouldn't move much.

Put mine back without as my fixings were broken as well Just a little blob of clear silicon sealant keeps it secure
