Just received a PCN for being in a bus lane for a whole of what must be 10-15 meters before it finishes.
Check the Google Maps link below and in the photo the front of my car is just before the man hole cover left.
My link

If you look in the Google maps photo you can see traffic backed up to turn right, this is exactly what I had driven up too, so pulled into the left lane and turned left. (In my photo you can see the rear of a truck I'm pulling past)

I'm really miffed that they've hit me with a PCN for such a short distance travelled. I've read there is a 20 meter concession which I reckon I must fall in.
I've requested video and photos from the council so will wait until it arrives before doing anything further.

What do people think, do I have a chance to argue it's such a short distance?

I (unfortunately) have heard of this exact same thing before, and the fine was enforced. Basically 'their' point was that if you cross that solid white line at any point, regardless of where, or how long for, then you will have illegally entered the bus lane.

I have this very weekend, just been "let off" a Bus Lane PCN picked up by my daughter (driving my car) picked up <<Kidbroke Park Road>>

Ridiculous bus lane. As she turned left out of side road at 11.20pm, she found herself immediately in the bus lane. Side road had a small warning sign with no info as to hours of operation - the only sign is on main road above and to your left almost impossible to read as you pass beneath it!

TFL wrote to say that, as it was my first representation against a bus lane PCN, as a gesture of goodwill, would let me off.

I argued that she had insufficient warning of bus lane, sought NO ADVANTAGE by using it (no other traffic especially buses, in vicinity) and that road layout is confusing! Google "Kidbrooke Park Road bus lane" to see how many are caught out....!

Worth a try...! Good luck thumbsup

Absolutely. When I worked in London my delivery drivers were done on a regular basis. Complete nonsense. And when you call TFL to complain they normally either hang up or give you abuse on the phone.
