Finally have a bit of free time to sort my injector problem out (well at least i think that is what it is  )A buzzing noise started from round the fuel rail area causing starting issues when warm,it has now started bogging/hesitating under acceleration followed by a flash of the EML but goes off right away. I have now parked the car up to be on the safe side.I could do with a few pointers regarding taking the fuel rail off with potentially swapping/changing injectors. Is it an easy DIY job?

yep but be careful you don't loose the seals at the lower end of the injectors they can come away was you often have to pul hard to remove the rail and injectors together.

Release the residual pressure in the rail and pipes using the valve on the hard line running into the end of the rail. Cover it with a rag so it doesn't fire off a jet into your eye. Then lots of rags at each end of the rail to soak up the fuel that will come out when you undo the rail.

I've never heard them buzz but you never know. I have a spare set or two of injectors if you need some or a seal. Just give me a nudge.

Ok thanks for that,Still not swapped my girlfriend for one of your splitters yet! haha forgot about that. Is there any tests you can do to check if a injector is faulty?

I'd forgotten about that :D
You can get them tested in a tank where they pressurise it and fire it. This will test the flow and spray pattern. I'm not sure if you can watch them fire by cranking the engine and holding up the fuel rail?? Bit risky that one perhaps.

TBH though its probably cheaper to just swap them over. Especially if they're a freebie ;)

Having narrowed it down to what i thought was a faulty injector i pinched a set of FLD (Matt)to swap over and..... there is still a buzzing sound from my injector rail.I did the ear on screwdriver trick and i am 99% certain it is coming from there. This is giving me this hot starting issue and stuttering i have described in previous post. What should i try next? SOMEBODY HELP ME PLEASSSEEE :drink:
