I knew this was a classic TADTS didn't know there was a fix though - would be interested in the outcome. Jamie

Mine was done 6 months ago, has not returned. The cracks were near the door striker plate and the end of the plastic trim just below it, where you (I) put your elbow when leavering yourself out. The lower one has been fixed by putting some strengthing in the fiberglass underneath the black plastic sill cover. The striker plate one was caused by "uneven steel backing plate??" that the striker bolted onto, (more likely to be uneven fiberglass I would have thought), when tightened caused the fiberglass to crack. Just unearthed this post as a crack has appeared on my sill. Can those of you who have had this problem confirm that it was a warranty repair and I take it the whole sill was resprayed? Does anyone have the address or telephone number for vauxhall customer services? thanks John.

thumbsdown Hi, Yes, my crack was done under warranty (what am I saying? :P ). That was a bout a year ago, and it's now cracked again si I'll do it myself this time - at least I won't get spray all over the white identification label! thumbsdown
