Any recommended sizes or products?

I found this one on EBay

http://www.ebay.co.u...037249407481594

I'm primarily looking to wrap the exhaust bend next to the N/S CV boot (although I do have the heatshield in place already), but I might wrap the whole exhaust if there's a benefit.

Any sort of heat wrap is a major step forward in engine bay temps. I would recommend getting the wider stuff (2" wide) to make it an easier job to do.

bear in mind you need/want to be overlapping by 50% of the width, so lots of it is key.

i used the thermal velocity stuff bought through ebay as it was way cheaper. Make sure you get a decent amount of metal cable ties and wear gloves as you apply it, it is itchy stuff!

£29.00 delivered with 8 cable ties included. The site says 1 metre should cover 20cm of pipe, so I should have enough to cover 2 metres of exhaust, but I guess if I wrapped the manifold that's probably close to 1 metre in length.

I'll see how far 10m gets me.

Soak it in warm water first before applying, makes it easier and then when it gets hot and dry gets tighter.

Mine arrived on Friday. Is it ok to wrap the cat, can it get too hot? No jokes about itchy pussies please, unless they're really funny that is!
