Hey everyone, Has anyone successfully converted a Z20let to a six speeder? Im considering it, although Im not sure how feasible it is to do and how beneficial it would be? Would appreciate thoughts... Jon

you need to budget about £2000 + labour for the conversion quite popular in europe, only a handful in the uk

Having driven modern day 6 speeders Ive always believed it can make a big performance + economy difference. I just thought once my clutch gives in, it might be worth looking into? Surely the 6 speed box from te zarifa vxr or astra vxr would be a bolt on? Just unsure about the linkages etc which may prove troublesome? Maybe like you say it is not worth the cost? But the 111r elise with the Toyota 6 speed box just shift cogs better than the vxt in my opinion. The vxt has the better engine though...so was thinking about improving it?...

Mine is being converted to a six speed in the next couple of weeks £2000 + is the going rate. I have a Vx220 Sc its going on the rolling road after being done, so I will post the difference on the web site.

You aren't going to get anymore power from it so no need for the rolling road

Astra VXR as you can change the LSD with the gearbox in situ I have decided not to change it unless I think I need one.
