For those of you who haven't been following my build thread, I have built a heater to replace the OEM unit which offers the following:
  • Sealed unit to prevent pressure and heat loss
  • Larger fan for a higher flow rate at a lower noise
  • Higher density heater for better heat transfer
  • Electronic heater valve to prevent stuck cables.
The unit is a direct replacement but does require dash removal to fit the variable resistor to control the heat. Full instructions will be provided with the unit.

I already have had interest from people in this heater so I would like to generate a list of interested people. I will then make the heaters one by one and offer them to the person at the top of the list. This is the most fair way I can think of offering this.

The unit cost is £200 by bank transfer or £208 by paypal (to cover fees). As they are made one at a time I will not ask for payment until I have a unit ready for you. Shipping in the UK should be an additional £10. You are welcome to collect from Oxford. I can also offer fitting in Oxford or (at times) Milton Keynes. I may do a fitting day for the latter given the number of VX owners in MK.

There isn't a time limit to this however drastic changes in part cost may affect the price. The first heater should be available for sale by the close of next week.

Good point! I'll have the first 5 or 6 done quite quickly so no one should lose out.

Might sound silly but do you use any parts from the OEM heater? If so could there be a trade in price for our old units?

Sorry no; to be honest there's not much worth reusing with the original heater.
