Question for the engine guys, what is the exact standard bore size & tolerance for our Z22SE?
This? 85.992-86.008 mm
3.3855-3.3861 in

(And std piston diameter?)

Reason is that we got some press fit replacement Ecotec liners offered, but these seem to have a slightly bigger diameter (+0.05mm) than the standard bore size => Finish honed to 3.388" (86,052 mm) The company says this is the exact same size as the GM liners...

As that is not an overbore size (+.010", 0.25mm), can this small difference be explained with the compression forces => "loose sleeve" bore measurements vs. the pressed-in-block bore size??

Isn't 85.992-86.008 mm the piston bore not the liner one ?

That would explain; piston diameter + bore clearance. But all info I read on the ecotec states these same "bore numbers".

Found some info and it was on our own Speedster site... :
http://www.speedster...ock (Z22SE).pdf

Standard bore is 85.992 - 86.008 ( Overbore is 86.117 - 86.133mm, clearly bigger than that 86.05mm liner)
Standard pistons are 85.967 - 85.982mm
