300bhp at 3000rpm or 300bhp at 6000rpm? The difference is double the amount of torque trying to destroy the internals.

The turbo still attached to my B207 is a Mitsubishi one. Should probably pull it off and see if it looks any good.

:D Well, that was the idea. Thought it might be worth trying to work out whether it was still okay before drafting the ad though.

If you refer to my information it is the maximum output power which is at ~6000 rpm with these engines, right?

Those Mitsubishi ones are great! Our "Saab engineer" said that the best is if you can take it apart and ensure that the oil runs smoothly thru it and lubricates the turbo well, for example by pressure test it. The oil tubing tend to clutter directly after the turbo on this engine setup and needs to be cleaned sometimes. You can also feel so that the bearings don't feel loose.

Do you think those Mitsubishi turbos are crap?

Thanks for that. I'll take it off and have a look and see what it looks like. thumbsup No idea if they're any good as it's not something I'll be using on the engine, as I've gone down the supercharger route. I just got the whole engine delivered along with 90% of the ancillaries and wiring when all I really wanted was the bare engine.
