Does anybody know what the cylinder head height is for the z20let? I think my machinist has gone overboard on the skimming...

Is there not a limit marker in the head?

My old vtec head used to have that, but i can't find it on this head. The c20le has a cylinder height of 135.6mm, maybe the z20let is the same?

Doubt it, it's a completely different engine design

using an old tape measure my old z20let head is around 134-135mm I haven't got anything accurate to get an exact measurement but hopefully this should give you a rough idea.

Mine is exactly 134 mm now, measured with a vernier caliper, but still 1mm is a lot of difference...

for a rough guide; a 1mm skim would convert it from 8.5:1 CR to 9.5:1 CR
