ANOTHER bump for Murray, Craig in particular. Always happy to help, no matter the time of day or night. Just finished a 23 text conversation about sourcing me a slightly obscure part. Couldn't be more helpful. *note: there were about 4 texts in relation to the part, the rest was mainly banter  thumbsup

I'll certainly be getting them to do the disks, pads and change that black "fluid" that my car is currently sporting, especially if they have no issues with fitting 1144/1155's supplied by me

Turns out I couldn't be bothered booking it in and organising drop off/pick up, so just did them myself

Another :thumbsup for Murrays ( http://www.murraylotus.co.uk/ )

I had my car in for MOT, and I had to drive it 400 miles down to London that evening. Craig and the lads had me on my way in the early afternoon, just a couple of minor issues (headllight aim & tyres). They obviously know their way around a VX.

yes for sure, although it was mainly dualer miles home but braking did give me a better more confident feel compared to the standard abs, which in my car was crap to say the least,i had some issues when braking hard and getting no response from the brakes at all and the peddle would hit the floor and do nothing so thats why i went for the 4 channel option, the only ball ache is having to go to edingburgh to get it reset, but hey it was a nice sunny day:) i even got a roasting from a very nice copper in an unmarked volvo on the way home...but thats another story!!

are you in aberdeen?

The car is, I am not at the minute (or a lot of time) with work.

I wondered if you compared it to no ABS as I have no baseline for a working ABS system on the VX220.

I want to put the car into Murrays anyway so could just add to the list...I believe Ross who owned my car previous tried these controllers but found little benefit, perhaps he will see this and confirm.

At the minute I have absolutely zero confidence in the brakes due to ABS kicking in, even with light braking. I am confident once disconnected or a 4 way is bought it will be all good as there is good fluid, pads and disks.

did you buy rosscos car?

Find that strange that ross never found any benefit in the 4 channel,as far as i am aware all the guys on here that have changed over say its one of the best changes you can do,its certainly no use if you have no confidence in your brakes,is there a abs cut of switch added in your car?i didn't fancy installing one but some say its just as good ..horses for courses i guess.

what happened to me was if i was nipping on and needed to stop sharpish the pedal just went flat to the floor, didn't get the abs light coming on  and never got the ticking sound you get when the abs kicks in,didn't feel like it was air either,

maybe try the cut off switch before the 4 channel as its the cheaper option to try first.

Yes that's the one. Getting home today for a drive :) Going to have it disconnected first. I've got another no abs car and have no issue so I'm sure it will be 1000x better. It's an extremely weird pedal when it 'Goes wonky' at the moment. I don't get flat to the floor issue,I get the tick tick tick and odd pedal feel... How many vx's in the NE are you aware of?
