Done a search but no joy So has anyone had a Milltek repacked and how much does it cost? I'm not the original purchaser so the Milltek website is not exactly helpful! Trying to work out if it's worth doing or just replace it, rattles bit and gets on my nerves now Vocky has told me what the noise is! Like to get this car near perfect, although it may bankrupt me!!

it will need cutting open and welding back up, I doubt anyone would want to or would charge more than a new backbox

Best advice then don't buy a Milltek in the first place now that there are many alternatives :P

I'm seriously considering buying a Milltek VXT back box at the moment just to be shot of one of the "many alternatives".

If you are the original purchaser then they will fix it if it falls apart I suppose, just not sure a silencer should be made that is not easy to repack - it appears this is something that will need doing in it's lifetime.

I've got a twin silencer Tullet both of which are repackable. Still does my head in even though it doesn't need repacking. The bigger Milltek problem is the welds that hold the baffles inside break. That's what's rattling around inside.

Is a Larini re-packable or do they not have this problem?

Ill be honest im not 100% sure but I have never heard of a Larini having this problem tbh someone may be along shortly to prove me wrong but I am pretty sure the Larini is alot more robust and I bought mine new from Elise Shop & got the lifetime warranty which im pleased about.

Larini is straight through, so no baffles to break down. It looks so skinny, I'm not sure it even has any stuffing in but if it does, it's not repackable as standard.
