Going to replace my side engine mounts and considering buying the above which are a very resonable £17.90 per set on ebay. Simple question, whether to bother and, if yes, front, rear or both thanks for the input

I'd say yes to both. Made my nose itch when sat at idle from the extra vibrations but how often are you sat at idle? Makes the on/off throttle feel alot more positive and even gear changes felt abit better

I had a set on my n/a and felt that had improved the engine damping and reduced movement,I think there a worthwhile mod,so I've ordered a set for my turbo! from egay ,good price for a set of two as well.

Very good modification and very easy to do (vocky did mine). The differance is noticable.

I must admit, I recently fitted both when changing the other mounts and didn't notice much change in vibration, hence I voted for both.

Re fitting. Like all things on that car it can be a pig the first time, as it was for me. The bolts are just hard to get to. If I had to do it again I would be grateful for a Vocky in my neighbourhood. It's not technically difficult to do though.

I fitted both and there was a definite increase in the vibration at idle, once you're up and going it's not noticeable. I'm used to it now, but anything that was on the verge of rattling before definitely will be now. If you've got the time and resources try both and just one in the rear (ohh err) After doing mine it made a hell of a difference to the feel of the car though, almost like it gained 10bhp from somewhere :D (was when it was an NA)

Have people found alot more vibraton/rattle with these fitted when coming off the throttle? Something I noticed yesterday....could be a combo of that and the balance delete...

Both left and right mounts are the same. They're different to the front and back though which is where these inserts go.

thanks for all the responses. Have bought get 2 sets for front and rear. Have been quoted £150 all-in to fit a pair of new side mounts and the inserts front and rear too- by a reputable vx220 'specialist'. Does that sound like a fair price all-in? cheers

As said both front and rear worthwhile, increased vibrations at idle. Easy job in the scheme of things.
