Pleased Flash won, a genuinely nice guy who has come so close in the past. Gutted for the MG team as I know a few of them but not gutted for Plato.

http://www.thorney-v...rneyRacing.html Honest review so fair play but also shows the naievity when it comes to the cost of Motorsport.

he said "John, we've watched your team all season, none of you have quit or even looked like quitting once, you clearly are punching above your weight financially and put heart and soul into everything you do, we cant help but be impressed with that. We want our name associated with you because our business is the same, we pride ourselves on being successful in our business but we also pride ourselves on conducting our business with the same level of pride and perseverance, our customers expect it and I think you do too. We're proud to be involved with Thorney Motorsport"

You'd have thought his success (cough) running the team of 3 (or 4?) VX racing cars would have given him an inkling as to what he might expect!

All you have to do is read through all the press releases. Second driver and car disappeared at start of season. Moans about Swindon engines and NGTC suppliers. Stockton sponsors car for last 2 race, Silverstone and Brands, falls ill ;) at Silverstone, sponsorship comes off the car and Gillham drives it, Stockton then buys a Chevy from RML. Gillham then buys a the Insignia and the partially built second car. There are lots of other things that have gone on too.

Been reading Ollie's comments on PH Ian. What's AMD's plan for next year? Moving to NGTC with the majority?

Yes,,,,think he's now got more basher than supports Chris, don't mind his driving its his boring interviews that's the problem,he's even sponsored by an energy drink company just so his team don't fall to sleep listening to him,lol

So are we only allowed to bash Thorney on here then??

Tend to agree that both Plato and Matt Neal make Kimi Raikonen sound charismatic when interviewed but shed comes over a genuine happy to be there guy and good luck to him nice win !
