Darcini is busy building a house. The car is finished and looks epic as you'd expect. However it's now sat under a tarp waiting for him to use it. I do keep nudging him! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Give him my best when you see him please; I will never forget how he made Time Attack happen for us in 2012.

That looks like a good job there Pete. Lack of motivation with the vx makes jumping into a big project hard but I keep coming back to this thread for inspiration. Darcini/FLD what was used to bond fiberglass to fiberglass parts?

Fibreglass ;) But honestly what we use in aircraft is Scotch Weld 9323 for bonding parts. It's a two part epoxy structural adhesive.

I use a variety of things depending on the situation. Anything with a big overlap (flanged) gets a structural methacrylate or epoxy adhesive. Sometimes I'll roughen and glass over the flange for extra strength. If it's a butt joint then I glass over it. I have tried roughing flanges and laying in an extra layer of glass to bond it. Sometimes this can crack off if you don't get it right.
