great, so everytime I go on this site on my mobile I get a fecking message saying buy some shite 'tap a bolloxs' ap thumbsdown

I can remove the popup, but don't have FTP access. I'll direct that at Will.

Not if you're paying for it. HTH. thumbsup

Paid 1.99 and it is shite, thanks guys.

If you're just using it as a replacement for the mobile skin and it's the only forum you browse, there's not a massive need for it. However, I now have 5 forums I check through tapatalk and it makes running through them all insanely quicker than loading each one up in a web page.

Where has all this come from, would the site have shut down if no one took up the membership or not put up more advertising? The £12 does not really bother me and Im sure I will get round to paying it one day because I have had my monies worth out of it, its just odd that it has been free for ten years and now suddenly its not, I cant think of any other websites I pay for, maybe Xbox Live. I reckon I can live with the adverts, are we encouraged to pay up to keep .org going or make it better, in which case it is £12 well spent? Its a bit ironic that you have to join to sell your car at which point the website has kind of lost its appeal. Another idea might be to sell smiley faces for 10p a go :)

Several reasons. Browsers are generally still slow on all devices compared to an extremely lightweight app. Android's "back" button can be used to just nav backwards to your list of forums, click and go, no clicking on address bars, going to bookmarks, then hitting your forums.

It stores all forums on the cloud, so I have Tapatalk across 3 devices, instead of adding bookmarks and logging in on every single one, if I login on one, the forum will just 'appear' in the other two. No hefty images, just a simple, customisable layout.

Oh and I guarantee, on an EDGE or dodgy connection, Tapatalk is exactly twice as fast to load as the normal website skin and about 50% faster than mobile.

You never seen a quick dial screen in Dolphin or Opera that at worst means any stored site, is only two clicks away no matter how deep you are in another site? Never noticed tabbed browsers where all of your sites/forums are open and you flick backwards and forwards between tabbed windows? :P
