Hello, Just a quick one. I have my annual service and MOT due on my NA: - Do you require oil and fuel filter change every year? - Is a coolant system flush required? - Any checks / pitfalls I can do myself for MOT? - What is the best oil to buy? - I have a K&N induction air filter fitted. Car has only done 5k miles since last service which included: - Spark plugs - oil (5w/30) - oli + fuel filter I have done since last service: - New front pads + fluid and stainless brake hoses - Aux belt changed Car has done 36k miles and is of 2001. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance :-)

Just got my account activated :-) cheers siztenboots for your reccomendation, received delivery of the oil and filter. Very impressed with the service. Plus had a good hour round trip in vx to collect from depot with roof off! Vx shouldn't need much doing on this service as I have spent loads on getting her back up spec. Can't wait to get clunky toe links swapped out.

I have received a paper filter from opieoils, is this correct or do I need the metal surround as well? Noticed camskill sell it with metal casing. Cheers.

No, it's just the paper part for the NA.

Just had a scared phone call from garage saying that I had a water leek! Luckily it's just a bleed nipple lol. I think it's past it's mot and now the toe links are finally being done, then full geo!

Just getting rear pads fitted and my garage have told me that they had a nightmere getting the pad pins out as the wrong rear pads had been previously fitted. Anyone have a spare set of pad pins? They said thay should be able to get them back in but the rears may stick, is this true? Otherwise autovaux can only supply the OEM brake pads at £180 which come with the fitting pack. Any help appreciated.
