Just got fitted the Helix 6 paddle clutch and Quaife LSD on my VXT. At the friction point (when the plate is starting to bite the cover), in 1st gear and reverse mainly, the car is a bit jerky. It feels even more juddery when the wheels are fully turned - for example, when starting at a cross road. Is it normal?

Sounds normal from what I'd expect with those mods.

As said above it will be the paddle clutch. Mine does it a bit in reverse which makes you feel a bit of a stump when parking. Your best not to slip a paddle clutch so that doesn't help smoothness either. Re the Quaife. Did you get the rwd ATB diff? I couldn't get one fitted at the same time as the paddle clutch & lightweight flywheel due to time contraints but may be tempted in the future. Where did you get that done? Cheers.

Sounds a bit unusual to me, I've not had any jerkyness from the 4 different clutch setups I've had.

You might not have had it but its a fact some paddle clutches can judder esp in 1st and even more so in rverese.

I've got a helix 6 paddle, you just need to put a few more revs on when setting off and this will stop it juddering, not enough revs will cause it judder which is normal IMO

Maybe why I only notice it in reverse sometimes. Trying to be a bit more gentle to park or reverse into garage with less revs. As you say if you give a few more revs doesn't seem to do it. No problem though. Small trade off imo.

Cheers.

I must say ive been in a lot of cars with 6/4 paddle clutches. and the Vx 6 paddle is far more user friendly IMO just takes a few days to get use to it,just be a bit more aggressive,as i said earlier more revs and try not to slip it too much (although sometimes you have to) and you'll be fine, you'll soon get use to it :)
