Saw one yesterday and so I've done a bit of nosing today and noticed the 16/17 wheels.

Found the wheel sizes to be
6j (x16) Fronts
7.5j (X17) Rears

The VX is 5.5j front.

These j numbers mean nothing to me. But there have been a few people asking for 16/17 alternatives, so I'm just putting it out there to see if they're an option?

Ah ok. That should be doable then? So it comes down to the stud pattern then which I can't seem to find.

It'll come down to price, I would imagine, going by the purchase cost of the car, the wheels will be ££££'s

Indeed. Just found someone on a US Tesla forum who seems to think they're around $4000 for a set :o He also says the rears (with tyres) are about 18kg and the fronts about 15kg. Is that much of a saving?

Just asked a mate who works for Tesla in the UK, what a set of the Forged wheels would cost.

That wheel looks bent, like an elephant has squashed it a bit.

They look like the ones on the orange car... does the cliffhanger of no price mean he's finding out or he has said and its astronomical?

I think those 7400 were on the original Tesla's, they certainly look familiar - certainly look good on that VX imo.

That's a shame. Bloody yanks and their fear of being sued.

Although it does seem like prices would have been pretty high anyway.

Perhaps there is an oppurtunity here to sell TD's to the Tesla owning yanks for $2000 a set :P

Fronts are still too narrow anyway, so think yourself lucky that you can't get any.

What TD's do people tend to run on the fronts then? I'm getting incredibly bored of my understeer.

Should really just book it in for a geo to get rid of some of it but I keep getting distracted by sparkly things.
