I have had my Nitrons for 6 years now and they were long overdue a service. I sent them off to Cornering Force and Simon turned them around in a week and a half. As well as the service, all the seals and oil were replaced. I also opted for some fresh springs but kept the same rating. They came back looking as good as new and with laminated graphs. I used them in anger for the first time this weekend at the National and they felt as good as new again.

If you need a price give them a call and Simon will gladly go through everything with you.

Aimy they have lots of experience of the VX. Simon normally attends the National to study the cars behaviour on track but couldn't make it this year.

For me, simply because I'm looking at their ARB kit, for which they can provide recommended damper settings for after testing..

CF have done extensive testing with many cars on the forum. Data logging, specifying bespoke rates using their shock dyno and accompanying those cars to tracks to make sure they do what they are supposed to. I think there is very little chance Nitron have done this. ETA - I found CF better VFM and better customer service too.

I found them a great to deal with and really know their stuff, putting the shocks on their dyno before playing around with them on the car.. They set up my car with a fast road rather than track biased set up after I fitted my Gaz Golds and goes quite well, if a little loose at the front. I could do with someone who knows what they are talking about having a drive of mine at the next meet just for a second opinion.

I was charged about £180 and they had the car all day. They set my ride heights, corner weights not sure if they touch the camber and castor. I think it is good value for money as my local tyre centre won't touch a VX for less than £100 now he has had to take my undertray off a couple of times.

Just make sure you have someone follow you to drop the car off, I was taken into Harrogate and left to wander around all day, boring after a couple of hours :)

If its only for lowering, then you won't need CF. They're more into handling than looks. Just go to halfords and buy some lowering springs with some extra stick on shite
