I want to fit a 6-point harness using floor mounted eye bolts and anti-submarine bar as used in the 2-11 - as shown here: http://www.lotustalk...2133-post7.html

I'm having no luck with Lotus dealers. They want to sell me a 6-point harness for £375.56 and can't tell me if the fitting kit is included or not.

Has anyone used this setup or something similar?

Tricky I would imagine as the floor pan directly under the crutch area is thin as I remember, so no load bearing place to attach the bolts to... I think most people fit 4 way harnesses TBH, for that reason.

I think you need to fit a spreader plate for the floor

Yes, the anti-sub bar is fitted in conjunction with a spreader plate and also bolts through the chassis crossmember.

The MSAR pack looks great for the crotch strap - thanks :-) Anyone use eye bolts for the lap belts? Are there any other solutions for mounting the lap belts to the chassis?

Mine mount to the seat subframe and I use spreader plates for the crutch strap.

Having spoken to Malcolm at MSAR and heard his opinion on the fitting kit, I decided against it.

My lap belts are also attached to the seat sub frame. I want a fifth strap but i have no room under my seat as it's seat is set very low. Do the eye bolts for crotch straps go through the floor only coupled with a spreader plate, or through the cross member?

The eye bolts in the 2-11 setup are used for the lap belts.

The crutch strap is attached to the forward bar which is bolted to the floor using spreader plates and to the crossmember.

Are you using the standard seat frame?

Will this method pass MSA strutineering?

Ah ok. My lap belts are bolt through not eyelets, hence being bolted to the seat frame. I'm not using a standard seat or seat bracket (tillett b5 and fixed tillett seat mount). Guess i'll need to find an alternative way as there isn't a lot of room under my seat.
