Today I was given the opportunity to drive an Austin Healey. Roof down straight six engine with the sun shinning, ten miles later still smiling like I would of been if I was in the vx.

A very nice classic car, I do hope I get the opportunity to drive again. thumbsup

Serviced the trailer today as I've not done it and it's supposed to be done every 6 months/6000 miles. (I've had it just over 6 months) Repacked the hubs, adjusted the brakes and greased all the grease nipples on the damper. Actually pulls alot nicer when I drove back to the barns. Gives me a nice satisfied feeling.

Got called into a meeting at work today with several senior execs. Wondered what the hell I'd done! It was a thank you for recent hard work and I got presented with a Valentino Rossi scale model. Im an ex bike racer. I was totally gobsmacked. That's made me a happy bunny today.

Mine was actually being allowed to finish work for the day & being allowed to go back in tomorrow to do the same again, feels like I'm babysitting numpties? A major issue when you live in an area where the government are throwing money at certain ventures & you have to justify where the monies been spent!

Took the Speedster out for a little drive then put it away in winter storage so I can put my VX in the garage at home. Then put a coat of new wax on the VX ready to take it to the Peak District tomorrow... The little things make me happy!

I think it's a reference to this: http://www.vx220.org...-desert-island/ Post #17 The resurrection of this thread has made me happy today - it's too easy to focus on the negative.

Finding out that pulling up a concrete floor was surprisingly easy and not the dreadful excercise I had expected.

A short word of warning. Post 17 is Robin's.

Women are genetically programmed to gravitate towards him.

As a married lady, I urge you to avoid contact or .org-post-exchanges with him, or you will be inexorably sucked into his whirlwind of gorgeousness.

Goose went for coffee with him once, and look how that turned out.

 Um...thanks, I think. I've never been warned off a man I've never met by another man that I don't know before, but thanks for looking out for me!
